Following a design competition, RKA was selected to design the new corporate headquarters for Reliance Industries Limited in New Delhi. The building is developed over a built-up area of 300,000 sq. ft. and is strategically located at the threshold between the old and new facets of the city.
The built form encloses an internal climate-controlled courtyard, creating a distinct spatial character in contrast to the external façades. Extensive reflective structural glazing on the north and east façades offers views towards the old city while reflecting its contextual character.
The architectural concept explores the dialogue between contemporary corporate expression and contextual sensitivity.
Material articulation on the façade reflects a careful intermixing of new and old, lending the building a timeless yet modern identity. The internal climate court acts as the heart of the building, enhancing environmental comfort and spatial quality.
Landscape design plays a key architectural role, combining strong geometric forms at the periphery with organic, free-form elements within the atrium. Cascading water features, shaded planting, and reflective water bodies create a tranquil work environment while reinforcing visual continuity.
The project includes office spaces, a guesthouse, and retail areas within a 15,000 sq. m site and has been awarded a LEED Gold rating by IGBC, underscoring its commitment to sustainable design principles.
RKA is all about design excellence — it’s in our ethos. Be it rendering exceptional value through design and strategy to our clients or making every employee’s experience with RKA valuable and worthwhile.
