Architecture

The architectural design of ITC Windsor Manor reflects a refined interpretation of classical hospitality architecture adapted to a contemporary luxury context. The overall architectural approach balances grandeur, operational efficiency, and timeless design, reinforcing the hotel’s status as a prestigious hospitality destination in the city and made it the destination of choice for the 1996 Miss Universe Pageant.

A new wing comprising 200 rooms and a five-storey atrium was added at a later stage. The new tower block includes two executive floors, executive lounge, fitness centre, business centre, drawing and dining rooms, bar and conference facilities.

The addition of the new tower and atrium wing was carefully integrated with the existing structure, maintaining architectural continuity while enhancing spatial scale and functionality.

The five-storey atrium acts as a key organising element, introducing vertical visual connectivity, natural light, and a sense of arrival within the hotel’s public realm. Spatial planning prioritises clear segregation between public, semi-public, and private zones, ensuring seamless movement for guests, staff, and service operations.

The tower massing and façade articulation reinforce the hotel’s landmark presence within Bangalore’s central urban fabric, while internal layouts are designed to support executive hospitality functions and large-scale events.
