Interior Design
RKA designed the new Microsoft Corporate Offices at Gurugram, delivering a comprehensive workspace solution in an exceptionally compressed timeline.
Spread over 55,000 square feet, the office provides a warm and friendly work environment using a mix of modern and traditional materials combined with large glass panels to allow daylight into the interior spaces.
RKA services provided include complete space planning, interiors and engineering. The fast-track project was completed in a very short time of 3 months as required by Microsoft, demonstrating exceptional project management and coordination.
The design exemplifies contemporary corporate office principles emphasizing employee wellness and productivity through strategic natural daylighting and spatial planning.
The integration of expansive glass panels and transparent architectural elements distributes natural light throughout interior spaces, reducing artificial lighting dependency while enhancing employee mood, alertness, and circadian rhythm regulation—factors scientifically proven to improve workplace productivity.
The blended use of modern and traditional materials creates a warm, accessible aesthetic that humanizes the workspace, while the carefully planned spatial organization supports both collaborative interaction and focused work.
The interior design’s successful reception among Microsoft employees and senior management validates the design’s effectiveness in creating an environment that balances technological sophistication with psychological comfort, demonstrating how expedited delivery timelines need not compromise design quality when guided by experienced architectural and space-planning expertise.
RKA is all about design excellence — it’s in our ethos. Be it rendering exceptional value through design and strategy to our clients or making every employee’s experience with RKA valuable and worthwhile.
